Ulrike Hentschel, Prof. Dr.

Prof. Dr. Ulrike Hentschel is the Deputy Ombudsperson at HIIG.

She studied Educational Science, Social Sciences and Theater Pedagogy in Bochum and Berlin. Since 2001 she has been professor of drama education and performing arts at the Berlin University of the Arts. Prof. Hentschel was 1st Vice President of the UdK Berlin from 2015 to 2017. She is co-editor of the “Zeitschrift für Theaterpädagogik. Correspondence”. Her research focuses on aesthetic education, contemporary theatre and theatre pedagogy, theatre and school, history of theatre pedagogy.
