AI for social good?
The Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society organises multi-stakeholder dialogues, research sprints as well as public events in eight countries within the context of the Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Global Digital Transformation project. The project is carried out in cooperation with the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
In this public event, panelists will discuss the opportunities and risks of applying Artificial Intelligence in sustainable entrepreneurship in Benin and Francophone West and Central Africa.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a highly capable technology that is increasingly embraced by companies, governments and NGOs. AI does not only represent a new breeding ground for entrepreneurial opportunities, it may also be an important tool to help societies tackle grand challenges such as hunger and climate change. The panel will discuss the following questions: How can AI be applied by entrepreneurs to advance sustainable development goals (SDGs) in Benin and Francophone West and Central Africa more generally? What are promising use cases? And what are the chances and risks that arise when applying AI to advance SDGs?
