HIIG-Roundtable – VCs X Startups: Changing Perspectives on Business Models and their Potentials

After the last roundtable discussion on financing strategies and business models by phases in December 2014, we now proceed to the next round on new perspectives on business models and their variations.

To this end, doctoral candidate Martina Dopfer, who is part of the research group Innovation and Entrepreneurship and focuses on business model development of startups, will bring together renowned business angels and VCs with selected startups within a closed setting. The aim is to highlight the challenges and potentials of their respective business models.

In addition, keynotes will give participants insights into the analysis of business models from a VC perspective. The subsequent business model innovation journey provides an intensive and interactive analysis of the business models in small groups in order to explore potential opportunities for further developments.

Participating experts: Moritz Poewe (Partner Paua Ventures, ex-CTO Nachtagenten), David Rosskamp (VC Earlybird, mentor Seedcamp), Dagmar Bottenbruch (Angel Investor and Harvard Business School alumni), Frauke Mispagel (Managing Director Axel Springer Plug & Play).

Participating startups: Blinkist, Blogfoster, Cringle, Flexperto, Gamewheel, Mimi Hearing Technologies, SatoshiPay, Stilnest, TapDeck, Truffls, qLearning, Vigour.
