Workshop

on Micro-Credentials about Data

Friday, 8 November 2024 | 2.10 – 3.30 pm (IST)

ITC Windsor, Bengaluru, India

With digitalisation revolutionising the global labour market, flexible educational formats are needed to meet the emerging demands for professionals to be. Micro-credentials therefore offer a unique solution to acquire new skill sets that are both applicable to real-world problems and actionable in a short period of time.

This workshop offers a deep dive into the foundational micro-credential “Mastering Data” that is being developed by HIIG as part of the project Strengthening Digital Skills through Micro-Credentials. Participants will be guided through a hands-on exploration of the intermediate state of the data micro-credential using a user story testing approach. While navigating through the micro-credentials on the basis of predefined tasks, participants discuss and reflect their experiences in order to improve upon the development process.

In order to embed the foundational micro-credential into a bigger learning pathway that allows learners to increasingly improve their skills around the management, analysis and interpretation of data, this workshop will also include a mapping of competences and topics for the learning pathway around data.

About the Workshop

The workshop is part of the 1st Regional Networking Event to Advance Digital Skills to Succeed in Asia (DS2S), which serves as the kick-off for the digital skills network by the Deutschen Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

Cooperation

The Workshop is part of the transfer project Strengthening Digital Skills through Micro-Credentials  which is being implemented in cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
