Florian Irgmaier
Florian Irgmaier studied political and administrative sciences at Potsdam University (B.A.). At the moment, he is finishing his M.A. in social sciences at Humboldt University Berlin. His studies centered on concepts and variations of evidence-based policy, the sociology of knowledge, and political theory. In his Master’s thesis, he investigates how the behavioural sciences’ reframing of human nature alters the criteria we apply when evaluating the legitimacy of state interventions into our private lives.
His research focuses on novel regulatory practices that draw upon behavioural sciences as well as upon automated data analysis in order to subtly stimulate or constrain certain forms of behaviour.
