Judith Beyer

Judith Beyer is a student assistant for science communication at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG).

Currently she’s doing a master’s program in Communication in Social and Economic Contexts at the University of the Arts Berlin. She studied her bachelor at the University of Erfurt in Communication Studies and Social Sciences. For her bachelor thesis she collaborated with six fellow students to do research on the discourse about racism in leading media in Germany.

Other (research) topics she’s interested in are the socio-political implications of digitalization and mediatization as well as the field of fan studies. Previously Judith was working student for two and a half years at the non-profit association Freunde fürs Leben which raises awareness on the topics of mental health, depression and suicide.
