Kai von Lewinski, PD Dr.
Kai von Lewinski teaches law at the law faculty of Passau University hand holds a chair for Public Law, Media Law and Information Law. Before he finally returned to university in 2004, Kai von Lewinski worked as a lawyer for an international law firm, first in Frankfurt, later in Berlin; his main field of work was data protection and software licences. He studied law and later-on history in Heidelberg, Berlin (Freie Universität) und Freiburg; he received his PhD in legal history.
In the field of information law, Kai von Lewinski focusses on data protection law and Big Data (see publication list at http://www.jura.uni-passau.de/lewinski/mitarbeiter/lehrstuhlinhaber/publikationen/).
