Simba: Instructions for the Text Simplifier App
This guide shows you how to use our Text Simplifier App. You can use it to shorten and simplify a text. To do this, follow the individual steps.
Step 1
Please open the URL to open the Text Simplifier App:

Copy a text that you would like to have simplified.
We use the introductory text of our research project "Public Interest AI" for these instructions.
Step 3
Paste the copied text into the "Input" field on the Text Simplifier App.
Step 4
Click on the "Create summary" button on the right-hand side.
Step 5
Your summary will then appear in the "Output" box. You can copy the text and use it as you wish. You can also give us feedback: Click the "thumbs up" button if you think the summary is good, or the "thumbs down" button if you think it could be better.
What do you need to bear in mind when using Simba?
Read through the conditions under the "Input" field: All texts are collected for research purposes. Simba is still in the testing phase and may sometimes provide incorrect results.
Important note: The app always summarises all texts (including English texts) in German.
